Well Played, Bing Maps

I’ll admit, I’m typically a google maps person.  It’s habit at this point and I’ve found the detail to be pretty reliable.

Earlier today I decided to send out a Bing map (which seemed appropriate because it’s a meeting before a Microsoft event) and was amazed at some of the detail offered.

I had a map up that included the MS office in Minnesota, and I happened to hover over nearby Southdale Mall.  I clicked on it and two things happened:

  1. The outline of the building was replaced with store locations
  2. The sidebar changed to a listing of all the stores in the mall

Very nicely done, Bing maps.

The first entirely 3D-printed handgun is here

3d printing is amazing….and frightening.

Maron, the TV show

Just checked out an episode of Marc Maron’s new TV series “Maron”, premiering on IFC tonight at 10.  Some good chuckles in the online episode seems pretty sparse so far….hoping it grows as the season kicks off and progresses.

If you’ve listened to the WTF podcast, the TV show feels like watching his radio persona when he’s not “in the garage”.  If you haven’t listened to the podcast, there are some classic episodes I recommend listening to.  Some are free to listen to through the site or an app, others require a premium subscription.
